In a shimmering world’s lightest hours of dawn, Kaki stepped forward, filled with wonder.
Bushes intertwined their branches, mixing theirs leaves with agate, jade, and lapis. Flowers, barely unfolded, still a little wrinkled and shy, embraced the radiance, offering their youthful glints to Kaki’s eyes. Fascinated by this spectacle, the young woman felt a new emotion blossoming within.
All of a sudden, a remarkable flare caught her eye. Bursting with curiosity, heart beating, she moved as close as possible.
Coloquinte Ring in 18 carat yellow gold mounted with moveable carnelian crescents.
In the thickness of the foliage, Kaki discovered one of the most breathtaking things she had ever seen: a round fruit, embellished by nature with crescents of ardent fire and mounted with the finest of golds.
The young woman was spellbound.
Sensing she had before her eyes one of those delights to which none may ever lay claim, Kaki gathered it and adorned one of her fingers. It was with great surprise that, as she stroked the jewel delicately, she noticed that far from being frozen, the crescents could move. Delighted and amused, she enjoyed playing with this mechanism of invisible cogs. There was, without a doubt, a secret there belonging only to the Land of Men…
But there was more: the Colocynth, no doubt magical, gave birth to the desire within Kaki to see what lay a little further around the earth.
