Carried by a gentle breeze, Kaki allowed herself to drift into a pleasant dream. She was now gliding over greener, chillier, more nurturing lands, lands filled with countryside fragrances. The air was much sharper. Under her feathers, the world was changing.
Lost in her daydreams, Kaki flew like the lightest of birds without paying attention to the shimmers of greenery spreading all over the earth. But something, suddenly, caught her eye: there, planted in a garden, lay a precious head scintillating with a thousand sparkles. Emerging from her torpor, Kaki resolved to investigate the glimmering call closer.
This golden sphere was a pure marvel! Its intricate roundness, a unique splendour! Kaki was enthralled.

She had just slipped around her finger an entire world, a cabbage from a fairytale that a little turtle, on the edge of a precipice, seemed to want to taste!
“How will you do it?” questioned the young woman. “Will you stretch your neck of jade above the void, at the risk of falling? Or will you turn back, following the orb of the earth, even if it means losing days, losing weeks?” But the turtle did not reply: she was contemplating, in a daze, the marvellous cabbage sprinkled with drops of dew. Intensely, she reflected. This tiny world was spinning so vivaciously! And how this caterpillar, so fond and so eager, seemed unwilling to take his time to appreciate the utter beauty he sought to taste…
But everything occurs swiftly on Earth. All things are here to live what they must until they no longer are. All things grow, all things ripen. Nothing is immutable and everything has meaning, even the green and white nettles. Gardeners of this world allow these seemingly despicable herbs to grow: without them, no golden heads, no Earth to spin, no nature in all its diversity.
In no time, the caterpillar became butterfly, and with a thrust of his graceful wings, he flung aside the profound considerations of a too-wise turtle.
